Erika Jayne is returning to her DJ career
“Music has always been my constant — my first love, my escape, my heartbeat,” Erika began in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, October 22.
The RHOBH star went on to reflect on how she created the “Erika Jayne” persona and how it allowed her to pursue her music passion. Conveniently, she failed to mention the alleged fraudulent cash that helped get the career off the ground.
“In 2018, I stepped behind the decks officially for the first time at Coachella for Jeremy Scott x Moschino, spinning alongside icons like Diplo and A-Trak. The following year, I headlined my own party back in the desert for Coachella, bringing my ShoeDazzle collaboration into a full fantasy event— and it reignited something inside me,” Erika claimed.
“Six years later, that spark is burning bright again,” she continued. “I’m back at the decks… and back to where it all started.”
As part of this announcement, Erika revealed that she’s taking on a new name for her DJ gigs: DJ Pretty Mess. She said this new chapter is “fueled by the same love for music” she has always had in her “soul.”
Erika is just the latest Housewife to suddenly pivot into DJing. Meredith Marks just launched a nationwide tour behind the decks. Dorinda Medley has also been spinning tracks under the name Lady Medley. Is anyone else spotting a trend here?
