Grab your passport, and leave your camouflage at home. The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 continued this week with a cast trip to Nevis, and it was full of shade, shenanigans, and a teeny bit of customs drama.
In The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 4 “Tropic Like It’s Hot,” the ladies tried to move past last week’s chin check drama, but Angel still found herself on the receiving end of some controversy. At this point, she and Stacey are just taking turns bouncing around in the hot seat. Stacey throws it right back, but Angel? That’s a different story. If she doesn’t start showing a backbone soon, we’re not sure if this woman can survive an entire season.
What happened on Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 4?
In Episode 4, the ladies continued their adventure to Preakness for Black-Eyed Susan Day. They just narrowly avoided arguing in front of the First Lady of Maryland, whom Wendy claimed personally invited her. Then, the cast kicked off their cast trip to Nevis, where Angel found herself in another sticky situation with the ladies. Can she talk her way out of this one, or did she get chin checked again?
Off to the races
At the end of Episode 3, the ladies were taking a bus ride to Preakness, fresh off the chin check conversation at Keiarna’s condo. You’d think the drama would have died down after brunch, but Keiarna spent the entire trip making digs at Stacey and Wendy. She was on one.
Although Wendy made a big to-do about the First Lady of Maryland handpicking her to come to the Black-Eyed Susan Day, they ended up having a millisecond of an interaction, and she refused to even appear on camera. That’s a rare win for Keiarna.
What wasn’t a win for Keiarna was the conversation she had with Jassi, who popped up at Preakness to say hello to the ladies. Immediately, Keiarna confronted her about something Wendy supposedly told her.
Just like most of Keiarna’s drama this season, it’s hard to follow because she’s mad about something that happened off-camera. Nonetheless, the ladies got into a nasty little back-and-forth at the racetrack, with Jassi throwing shade at Greg and Keiarna poking fun at Jassi’s baby mama drama.
“I know you’re going through a lot with Greg,” Jassi said.
“You’re marrying a man that had two kids on you, so I can understand how you’re going through a lot. I ain’t going through nothing,” Keiarna replied.
After that messy moment, Jassi officially earned herself a seat on the Nevis cast trip. It was an economy seat, but it’s a seat! Jassi is making sure that we remember her name this season.
Potomac takes over Nevis
You have to give some credit to Gizelle for this Nevis trip. RHOP fans have shaded the cast in the past for their domestic, run-of-the-mill cast trips. Remember when they went to Texas and played chicken sh*t bingo? That’s not the case this time around. Gizelle must have spent all of her Love Hotel money on this adventure to Nevis.
They landed at customs and were greeted with champagne and a buffet of food. Then, they took a ride on a yacht to their final destination. Wendy said it was giving her White Lotus vibes, and honestly? She’s right!
However, when you’ve got 9 reality stars traveling internationally, there are going to be some bumps. Angel missed the memo that camouflage isn’t allowed in Nevis, so she had to scramble to squeeze her bag into Tia’s. Jassi rode in the very back of the plane, so everyone had to wait for her. Then, she and Keiarna got into another back-and-forth during the yacht ride to the Four Seasons. How exhausting!
Things got dicey when Gizelle told the ladies that Keiarna and Angel didn’t want Jassi to come on the trip. Angel tried to deny it, even though she said it on camera. However, the reveal set up Jassi and Keiarna for Round 2 of their verbal sparring.
“I’m not phony and I don’t like to be fake,” Keiarna began, before Jassi interjected, “If you’re not fake and phony, then what did you say about Wendy?”
Oop! Apparently, Keiarna was talking about Wendy to Keiarna six whole months ago, solidifying for Wendy that Keiarna’s beef with her is indeed one-sided.
Angel’s selfie causes a stir
Of course, we’ve seen plenty of Housewives FaceTune their pictures into oblivion. It’s not new, but this might be the first time it’s actually led to an argument on the show. At the first dinner in Nevis, the ladies confronted Angel over her social media presence.
It all started with Gizelle stumbled across a selfie of Angel, where she looked noticeably different compared to what we’re seeing on screen. The shady editors made a point to show the side-by-side no fewer than 50 times in this episode, in addition to a series of other Instagram photos that don’t necessarily look like the woman on our screen.
Angel could have easily laughed this off, because, let’s be real. This picture looks nothing like her. Instead, she decided to talk herself into a circle, claiming that she didn’t use a filter.
“That particular picture is not filtered,” Angel claimed while throwing her hands up. “It’s a picture that I took a little while ago.”
The selfie conversation ended up escalating into much more — Wendy accused the newbie of holding her to a different standard. She caught so much smoke at the Black-Eyed Susan brunch for moving the chin check conversation long, but when Gizelle embarrasses her with this selfie, there’s nothing.
On top of the selfie drama, the ladies have been pressing Angel to come out of her shell. She says that the women just need to approach her, and she’ll open right up. Then, things like this happen, and the waters get muddied.
Angel’s twenty-year-old friendship with Keiarna also seems to be holding her back. How can the ladies get to know her if she’s sitting under Keiarna’s wing, getting chin checked, and uploading selfies that look nothing like her?
Stacey is still on the outs with the group
Although the ladies have stopped hounding Stacey about the TJ contract, the murky divorce timeline, and her questionable breath, the former QVC host is still not fully getting a warm welcome into this group. For example, when they arrived at Nevis, Gizelle gave every single girl a customized, embroidered bathrobe and a sweet personalized note to welcome them on the trip. Stacey got a plain bathrobe and a blank note card. Shade!
Stacey has rolled with the punches, but at the first dinner in Nevis, she decided to get some revenge on Gizelle. Armed with a screenshot of Gizelle on a date with an NFL player, Stacey tried to call out the RHOP OG for not being forthcoming about her personal life.
“It’s beyond me that you hold this standard for me, that I have to show who I am and I have to be accountable,” Stacey began. “You guys are always talking about my relationship. Why don’t we talk about yours, Gizelle? You have a whole man!”
Of course, in typical Gizelle fashion, she brushed it off like it was nothing. Is there more to this story? Probably. Are we expecting Gizelle to be forthcoming about her life after ten years of not doing so? Not really.
Gizelle is a pro at this, so she managed to wiggle her way out of giving up the tea on this NFL player. However, the conversation about dating an NFL player teed up Ashley to bring forth some tea of her own.
The episode ended with her preparing to drop the Chris Samuels bomb. Next week, we’ll see how that reveal lands with the group and if Stacey can talk her way out of it.
