The Valley star Brittany Cartwright has had enough of the drama between her friends Scheana Shay and Lala Kent.
Despite their feud, Lala and Scheana still have to see each other nearly every day. Their respective daughters, Lala’s Ocean Kent Emmett and Scheana’s Summer Moon Honey Davies, are BFFs. They also go to the same school. That must make for an awkward drop-off situation.
After being close friends for years, are Lala and Scheana’s done with each other?
Brittany Cartwright wants Lala Kent and Scheana Shay to stop using podcasts to bash each other
On October 28, Brittany told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast that she’s “really sad” about the standoff. “I hope they can talk to each other in person,” she said. “A lot of hurt has been said” on their respective podcasts, Untraditionally Lala and Scheananigans with Scheana Shay.
“They have been such good friends for such a long time, and I know there’s real love there,” she added. “I just hope they can talk as real friends … My biggest issue is don’t go on podcasts and social media … and deal with it there. If you’re real friends, you’ll talk about it with each other.”
Over the summer, followers began to notice that something wasn’t quite right between the two former pals. Though it’s not really clear what started the ordeal, they began making digs about each other in their podcasts. They even made comments on other people’s podcasts.
According to Lala, the whole thing started when Scheana thought Lala wasn’t doing enough to promote Scheana’s book, My Good Side. Even though Lala shared Scheana’s new book on her Instagram, that wasn’t “good enough” for Scheana.
For her part, Scheana believes the estrangement started prior to her book’s release. The Vanderpump Rules alum felt “betrayed” when Lala leaked the big bombshell which was to be featured in the book.
Meanwhile, their girls remain close. “Summer and Ocean are still friends,” Lala said on an October 21 Amazon Live stream. “Ocean writes little notes. There’s one … on my whiteboard right now. Can you guys see it? It says, ‘I love you, Summer,’ and then it says ‘Ocean.’”
The Valley is streaming on Peacock.
