Can you imagine a world where Ramona Singer is calling the shots in the halls of Congress? Apparently, Dorinda Medley can! The Real Housewives of New York star recently weighed in on those rumors that her former castmate is eyeing a political run. As horrifying as that might sound to some of us, Dorinda doesn’t think it’s too far-fetched.
Dorinda Medley has a lot of praise for RHONY OG Ramona Singer
Dorinda recently appeared on the Lovett or Leave It podcast and talked all about her Real Housewives journey, her past life as a political spouse, and everything in between. Ramona’s name popped up more than a few times, but towards the end of the podcast, host Jon Levett asked Dorinda about those rumors about Ramona’s alleged political aspirations. Is there any truth to it?
“I wouldn’t put it past her,” Dorinda quipped. “And you know what? She may win.”
She continued, “What people don’t know about Ramona, or maybe they do. She’s brilliantly smart, and I consider myself a smart person. I can’t say that about all the Housewives, but she’s smart.”
On RHONY, fans saw Ramona as a flirtatious and occasionally problematic character with a penchant for mispronouncing words. However, Dorinda said we shouldn’t be fooled by that. The RHONY OG knows a thing or two about finance and business.
“She’s very switched on,” Dorinda said of Ramona’s business acumen.
With all of that said, we’re not so sure if Ramona would actually get a vote from Dorinda. That’s not necessarily a policy-based decision, but because Ramona is eyeing a run for office in Florida. That’s where she’s been spending a lot of her time, following her departure from RHONY.
“She’s already got a base of followers, she’s wealthy, and she’s friends with a lot of conservative players,” a tipster shared earlier this year. “Don’t laugh — in Florida, that’s enough to land a seat.”
