RHOP’s Wendy Osefo Breaks Public Silence on ‘Unfortunate’ Arrest at BravoCon

Dr. Wendy Osefo returned to the public eye looking calm, even though the situation around her continues to intensify. She’s been part of The Real Housewives of Potomac since season 5, and viewers have watched her navigate plenty over the years – but nothing this challenging.

Things shifted last month when police arrested Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, on fraud charges tied to a reported burglary and luxury items investigators questioned. The headlines have trailed her everywhere since.

She finally spoke on the situation during BravoCon this weekend, though she still chose her words carefully.

Wendy made her first big appearance since the arrest during the BravoCon RHOP panel in Las Vegas on Friday. She thanked fans for supporting her and said she appreciated everyone who had “reached out to my family during this time.”

When the topic of her case came up, Wendy controlled the moment. “You know, it’s an unfortunate situation and right now I can’t say too much, but I will say when the time is right,” she said. “I will share my story with everyone. And for now, they’re just allegations. So we will continue to push forward.”

Wendy also recognized her cast for checking in. “I would just like to thank my cast members for being there for me during this time. I think it’s a tie between Stacey [Rusch] and Monique [Samuels] who reached out first. You know, I just am so grateful for that,” she said. “Tia has reached out multiple times when everything happened [and Gizelle Bryant] reached out as well.”

She added, “I am just so grateful for the support I’ve gotten from my cast members, as well as our production team, as well as Bravo. I am overwhelmed by the love so thank you so much.”

Wendy broke her silence on Instagram on October 19, writing “GOD remains faithful” and thanking fans for the “outpouring of love, support, and prayers.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac streams on Peacock and Hayu.
