Welcome back to another episode of The Stacey Rusch Show. We’ve endured another week of the cast desperately trying to take down the former QVC queen, but it’s not working. Nothing they throw at her sticks — especially not these Chris Samuels rumors.
On The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 8, “Pride and Pettiness,” we picked up where we left off last week with Monique making her return to the group at World Pride. Keiarna tried to bring up the Chris rumors, and from there, the attempted takedown on Stacey continued with little success.
What happened on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Episode 8?

After Monique returned to the group, the RHOP cast continued to try to make fetch happen by bringing up the rumors about Stacey and Chris. They’re all hooked on Stacey, and Tia became the latest Housewife to take a shot, along with Karen’s friend Cookie. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work.
Elsewhere in Potomac, Angel continued her crusade against Wendy, and believe it or not, she’s still moping around about the Nevis trip. Plus, Gizelle planned an event for her Reasonably Shady podcast, but a crucial person was missing from the guest list. Keep on reading for the full breakdown of this nonsensical episode.
Monique isn’t worried about Chris — or Cookie
Season 10 is getting repetitive. For weeks, they keep trying to tee up this Chris and Stacey story, and it’s not landing. At World Pride, Keiarna met Monique for the first time and used it as another opportunity to bring up the botched storyline. Instead of getting worked up about it, Monique let it roll off her back. She said he’s her ex for a reason.
We’re exhausted from watching these ladies try to make the Chris drama a thing. If Monique doesn’t care, and Stacey already owned up to their connection, why are we harping on this?
Later at Pride, Monique opened up about her divorce even more. She said that she started feeling like a “piece of meat” in the relationship. According to her, joining RHOP probably added years to her marriage because it gave her new people to argue with. You’ve got to appreciate her honesty.
Monique made it clear that she’s not hung up on Chris, and at a luncheon with Wendy a few days later, she learned that it was actually Cookie who started spreading the information about him in the group. Monique didn’t seem surprised by that.
According to Monique, she met Cookie years ago through Chris, but they’re no longer close. It sounds like Cookie might have been a shady presence in Monique’s life for quite some time. Is she actually the villain of Season 10? It’s kind of starting to look like it.
Did Stacey call Chris to spill tea?

The women have tried to bring up the Chris and Stacey connection multiple times. That didn’t land. They tried to call out Stacey for using a Nigerian phrase for her cannabis line. She welcomed their feedback. Nothing is sticking, so after Pride, Keiarna conjured up another reason to villainize Stacey.
“When I was leaving Pride, Cookie called me,” Keiarna told Ashley, Gizelle, and Tia, who were salivating for something to discuss.
Keiarna said that Cookie told her that Chris called, very upset that Monique had been trash-talking him. The things that Chris described were the same things Monique told the ladies about him at Pride. Where did he hear it? According to Cookie, Stacey reported back to Chris. Now, the ladies officially have another reason to be mad, which is perfect since their previous reasons didn’t pan out.
Robyn skipped out on a Real Housewives of Potomac cameo

Episode 8 was centered around Gizelle’s event to celebrate 10 million downloads of her podcast, Reasonably Shady. Of course, she hosts this podcast with her bestie and RHOP OG, Robyn. This seems like a perfect opportunity for our dearly departed Robyn to make a cameo, right? Wrong.
Gizelle broke the news that Robyn wouldn’t make an appearance, and it’s not because she was busy being a couch potato. According to Gizelle, Robyn was in her feelings because of how she left the show two years ago.
“Robyn doesn’t want to come because she feels a certain way about how she left the show,” Gizelle revealed in a confessional.
Gizelle admitted that it wasn’t a “good look” for Robyn to skip out, nor was she happy about the decision. We couldn’t agree more. Her absence is almost as perplexing as her putting details about Juan’s infidelity behind a paywall.
Seriously, she couldn’t put her pride aside to appear at an event celebrating the podcast that she hosts? Does she not realize how silly that would look for both her and Gizelle? Truly, it felt like a mind-numbingly stupid move, and just another misstep in this not-so-great episode of RHOP.
Angel is still whining about Nevis

The Nevis trip is in the past, but mentally, Angel is still there. In Episode 8, Angel continued her complaints about the trip and how Wendy ruined it from the moment they arrived at the airport.
According to Angel, Wendy was rude to her at the airport, which set the tone for the trip. Then, when Gizelle brought up her overly filtered photos and Wendy laughed about it, that ruined everything.
At the Reasonably Shady event, Angel told Gizelle about this. Angel said she wanted to find a way to move forward with Gizelle while still manifesting her negative energy at Wendy. Gizelle could not care less, but nonetheless, Angel continued rambling on about how Wendy’s “mercurial nature” was a problem for her.
Gizelle found the whole thing confusing, partially because she didn’t know what “mercurcial” meant. Either way, Gizelle finally realized that Angel has a delayed reaction to everything that happens. She’s talking about Nevis because it took her this long to process it. That means by Episode 10, she’ll be reacting to Episode 8.
Tia takes her shot at Stacey on Real Housewives of Potomac
Tia spent the first few episodes of Season 10 giving Stacey the “benefit of the doubt,” but that all went out the window this week. Stacey introduced her to Thiemo, but things went left when Tia tried to invite them out for dinner.
When Tia invited Thiemo and Stacey for a night out, they declined, but they shared two different excuses for why they couldn’t go to dinner. For Tia, that felt like another example of Stacey’s lies. She aired it all out at the Reasonably Shady event.
With the entire cast eagerly watching, Tia called out Stacey, but much like when Ashley, Keairna, and Gizelle all tried this, it didn’t work. You can’t rattle Stacey. It just doesn’t stick, but Tia gave it a good attempt.
“Don’t let the accent fool you,” she told an unfazed Stacey.
Since that flopped, Keiarna took another swing at Stacey. She brought up the information that she heard from Cookie, and it all felt a little ridiculous. Why is Keiarna screaming about all of these people she hardly knows?
Then, Cookie enters the frame, ready for her next 10 seconds of screentime. She starts to confront Stacey about the Chris of it all as well, but Wendy interjects to stand up for Stacey — and Monique, since she wasn’t there to speak for herself.
The episode ended with Cookie crashing out at Stacey, who still hadn’t broken a sweat through any of this. Meanwhile, we were still stuck on Robyn being a no-show. Maybe she could have been the one to save this episode.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs every Sunday on Bravo at 8/7c along with next-day streaming on Peacock.
