RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant Throws Shade at Mia Thornton After Arrest

We’re still trying to wrap our heads around the news of Mia Thornton’s arrest, and apparently, so is Gizelle Bryant. The Real Housewives of Potomac alum made headlines when she got picked up by police for allegedly making off with over $11,000 of furniture from a condo she had been renting. It’s a messy, unfortunate update for the mother of three, but Gizelle is making it clear. Don’t call her for bail money.

Gizelle Bryant says former RHOP co-star Mia Thornton is not on her “prayer list”

During the November 24 episode of Reasonably Shady, Gizelle and her co-host Robyn Dixon reacted to the news of their former castmate’s arrest. Mia became the third RHOP star to face serious legal challenges this year, and it sounds like Gizelle is running low on empathy.

“This is called life. It seems like life is lifing for her. And when life starts lifing, you’ve got to make good decisions, gotta make great choices,” Gizelle said. “I think she’s making some poor choices.”

Although Mia is innocent until proven guilty, Gizelle felt confident that her former castmate made a conscious decision to steal furniture out of her rented condo. The fact that the police listed Inc as part of the alleged caper definitely did not help Mia’s cause.

“She is not on my prayer list,” Gizelle continued. “Why is she taking furniture? It don’t make no sense. Let me tell you, I’m calling Jacqueline [Blake] over the weekend. We know she love spilling the tea.”

While Gizelle gave a shady take on the legal drama, Robyn offered a more reasonable response. Unlike Gizelle, Robyn said she felt bad for Mia, as she clearly navigates a rough patch in her life. So, Mia has at least one RHOP castmate in her corner.

“I’m sorry that she’s put herself in this situation,” Robyn said. “She got a divorce. She left town for a man, which kind of ended up being the demise of her on the show, which I think she probably had planned to be on the show for a while.”

Robyn continued, “She moves to Atlanta for this man. She breaks up with this man. … I just feel like she’s searching for something, and just something’s not stable in her life.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo, along with next-day streaming on Peacock.
