Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6, Episode 12. Last week, the group confronted Meredith at the infamous Valter’s about her behavior towards Britani on the plane. Meredith stood her ground but was shook when Whitney brought up concerns about her drinking. However, later on Meredith fell on the sword and apologized to Britani. With that feud over, it was onto Whitney versus Meredith next. Here’s exactly what went down in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6, Episode 12: “First Amendment Rights, and Wrongs.”

Bronwyn wanted to celebrate getting her U.S. citizenship by giving the ladies a little history lesson. She decided to throw a “spill the Boston tea party” in the hopes that once all the tea was spilled, they could form a more perfect union. But this effort only escalated the battle between Whitney and Meredith. Whitney outright called Meredith an “alcoholic” and a “pill popper.” To which Meredith responded by whipping out drug test kits for the group. There’s never a dull moment on RHOSLC …

Whitney resented Justin for her business failing

When Bronwyn picked up Todd from the airport, you wouldn’t have known they were just fighting about his alleged infidelities. Still, Bronwyn hid any awkwardness she felt behind her sloth costume.

As they drove home, she informed him she was in a bit of trouble for telling Meredith the gossip Whitney told her about Meredith supposedly having a drinking problem. Todd noted the group should have a “kumbaya” and all apologize to each other. Bronwyn agreed, which is why she was going to host a “spill the Boston tea party” to celebrate her citizenship and bring the group together.

Her goal was to get all the gossip out of the way and “form a new constitution.” Todd, being his usual cheerful self, quipped, “So, you know they hang the traitors in that era.” Womp, womp.

Speaking of traitors, Whitney felt like she was betrayed by Justin. She was harboring a lot of resentment towards him for her business failing and not listening to her gut instead.

In her confessional she said, “We took Wild Rose Beauty, and we merged it into a new entity. Unfortunately, I made a really bad decision. And right now I’m fighting to get out of ownership of this company. I’m fighting to get my name off of it, to remove me as an owner, and to get back my biggest asset, which is my Wild Rose Beauty name, brand, and inventory.”

Whitney told Justin she couldn’t get over choosing “to go direct selling MLM” because she could have potentially been in big box stores instead. Justin apologized for encouraging her to take that route, but it didn’t help. She said, “That was my everything. Now it’s gone.”

Bronwyn’s mom Muzzy does a 180

Heather’s dream of finally being on her own was inching ever closer. Her youngest daughter, Annabelle, was heading off to college. So, she enlisted her daughter Georgia to deck out Annabelle’s room with her university’s gear as a surprise.

In her confessional, Heather said her goal was to raise her kids until they turned eighteen and went off on their own. She added, “Then I could take a deep breath.” And this is because she felt like she was single-momming it with her kids, even when she was married.

She said, “I’m most excited about just not feeling responsible for another person. I want them to be on their own so that a little bit of that time and energy can be spent on other things. On myself.”

Meanwhile, Bronwyn was hanging out with her mom as well. Muzzy was helping her package pride flags to be mailed out, even though this might not align with her political views. Muzzy reassured Bronwyn, “As long as it helps you, I don’t care.” Just don’t ask her to go to a strip club.

Muzzy’s hard shell finally cracked when she told Bronwyn she was a good mom to Gwen and she was proud of her. Now this is the Muzzy we’ve all been waiting to see! She said, “You’ve been a great mom for Gwen. You need to be proud of what you’re doing because you’re doing a great job.”

And then Muzzy told Bronwyn her spreadsheet tracking all the packages was entirely wrong. Well, it was good while it lasted!

It was time to spill the tea

This crew loves a good costume, and they outdid themselves yet again for Bronwyn’s spill the Boston tea party. They all wore their best 1700s fits to celebrate, and Bronwyn had colonial wigs on standby for the group. Of course, Mary had packed her own.

The event was held in a big sound stage, which led the group to wonder if they were about to put on a play. Bronwyn explained, “The colonists were angry because they were being taxed without representation. And many of us in this group often feel that we are not represented correctly. On social media, in private conversations, in arguments.”

She continued, “So we are going to have a little similar enactment of what the Boston Tea Party is. First they had the protests, they spilled the tea, and after the mess was made they cleaned it up and were able to move forward … and I think that applies to us today in this group of friends.”

Bronwyn then instructed the group to write down who they spilled tea about, then share it with the group and toss it into the harbor.

Angie, of course, spilled the tea on Lisa on whether or not she really owned a horse. Britani claimed she didn’t spill tea (sure, Jan), but wanted to know who told Jared she flirted with João Franco from Below Deck Down Under. Mary groaned, “Oh my God. Not Jared.” Of course Whitney was the guilty party, as Jared had even said Justin told him the tea.

Bronwyn’s lips were extra pursed when Heather brought up talking about Todd supposedly farting and making out with someone at the same time. Bronwyn gave Heather an icy stare and decided it was her turn to go next.

Bronwyn spilled the tea about telling Meredith what Whitney said. Whitney was pissed, but Bronwyn shut her down. She said, “If you are uncomfortable with her knowing about it then you probably shouldn’t have said it.” Mic drop!

This transitioned to another fight between Whitney and Meredith. Both thought the other one was lying. Then Whitney took it one step too far. She said, “You’re going to call me a liar? Let’s do it. Alcoholic! Pill popper!”

Meredith then grabbed some drug tests and handed them out to the group. She was innocent, but were they? Lisa scoffed in her confessional, “Imagine your friend is emotional and upset, and instead of having compassion, you label her crazy and a drug addict. What the f*ck is wrong with you guys?”

Meredith stood firm that she was not yelling on the plane and stated, “There’s no resolution, and I doubt there will be today, so I think we should move on.”

Bronwyn’s last effort to form a more perfect union was to get the group to add some friendship amendments. The usual were called out: no talking about marriage, family, or businesses. So… no talking about anything. Got it.

Then Meredith dropped her amendment: “Hear ye, hear ye! Stop the reactive abuse.” To which Whitney noted in her confessional, “Thank you for giving me a definition of your behavior, Meredith.” This feud wasn’t ending anytime soon.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
