Kyle Richards has been on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for a long time. The OG Housewife looks back at 15 seasons and realizes how much the show has changed her. She also shares that Season 15 (which is just about to premiere) has a lot of unexpected drama on the heels of an already pretty dramatic Season 14.
Kyle Richards “wasn’t very proud” of how RHOBH Season 14 ended
Kyle appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark, and they noted that she was the “longest running Housewife” for spending 15 consecutive seasons on RHOBH.
“You’re the OG,” Kelly Ripa said.
“I guess so,” Kyle replied. “I don’t know what that says about me.” It says that she’s very resilient (for one). Reality television is hard and not for the weak-willed.
When she started the show, she thought it would be “for a few months.” She described her initial expectations that the show would just “follow me around with my kids in the house.” She had no idea what to expect.
Those kids are now heading off to college and getting married. Life has completely changed for Kyle and her family. And despite a lot of rumors about it, Kyle is back for Season 15. Kelly was honestly shocked that anyone decided to come back after Season 14 ended “badly and sadly.” In fact, Garcelle Beauvais decided not to return after the crazy reunion.
Kyle agreed and said she seriously considered not returning. She wasn’t in the best place considering her separation. She “wasn’t proud of how it went down.” Now she said she’s stronger and in a better place. But that doesn’t mean the upcoming season is lacking drama.
“Oh my gosh. Well, anybody you thought were great friends are no longer,” she shared. “And anybody you thought would never be friends are. So the dynamics have totally changed. And there’s a lot of drama, unfortunately, between some people, myself included. That part was sad and crazy, but to be expected, I guess.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns to Bravo on Tuesday, December 4 at 8/7c. You can stream it the following day on Peacock.
