It looks like Paul ‘PK” Kemsley is jump-starting his new dating life. The ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills discussed the paparazzi photos of him kissing another woman, and delved deeper on the After Show. Kyle Richards can’t process that the man who was Dorit Kemsley’s husband all those years was kissing someone new.
Kyle Richards and PK Kemsley have always been close
Kyle has had to redefine her idea of her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, since their divorce. She’s been faced with photos of him making out with other women. She’s even dealt with him bumping into her friends while on dates. While she and Mauricio appear to still be friends during the separation, Kyle admitted that during those moments, she didn’t recognize him.
“In my mind, I don’t even know that person,” Kyle explained. “That’s a different Mau. I don’t recognize him when I see him like that.” She doesn’t know if it’s compartmentalizing, but it just happens. And the same thing happened when she saw the photos of PK.
“When I saw pictures of PK, that was also very weird for me,” Kyle said. “I’m like, ‘Excuse me. No, no, no. You’re Dorit’s husband.’ It’s just weird.”
Admittedly, it must be very weird to see someone who you know has been with a friend for so many years, gallivanting around with someone new.
The photos came up at a luncheon hosted by Sutton Stracke in the RHOBH Season 15 premiere. Kathy Hilton asked Dorit if she was bothered by the public display amid their ongoing divorce.
Dorit’s answer was fair, “If I’m honest, I think he saw Mau,” she began, for Kyle to quickly jump in and finish her train of that by adding, “…making out in the streets, and thought, ‘Why not me too?’”
That idea doesn’t seem too far-fetched. After all, Mauricio and PK are quite close and go out together often. It’s not surprising they may mirror each other’s behavior. However, while Mauricio’s “running around” has (for now) just upset Kyle, PK’s earned him a divorce filing from Dorit the very same day.
