Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars was magical, and the casting was on point. The Traitors winner, Dylan Efron, had zero dance or performance experience. However, that didn’t stop him from following in his brother, actor and singer Zac Efron’s, artistic footsteps.
While Dylan and his partner, Daniella Karagach, may not have won the Mirrorball, they came in fourth place. Still, some fans wondered why Zac wasn’t in the ballroom, supporting his brother. Dylan revealed that Zac was “doing his thing.” He added that Zac had been “supporting me every day.” So, when Zac finally made a ballroom appearance during the semi-finals, everyone noticed.
Zac Efron got “defensive” about his reaction to Dylan’s Dancing with the Stars scores going viral
Recently, Zac was a guest on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live. As you may recall, Zac’s reaction at DWTS to Dylan and Daniella’s scores went viral. Daniella and Dylan scored 27 out of 30 points for their intense Tango. Lip-readers went into overdrive, thinking that Zac asked, “Are those good scores?” Others reportedly thought he asked, “Is that their high score?”
So, Dylan broke it down for us. “I actually did speak to Zac about this because I was just saying it as I thought it was funny. But then Zac was like, ‘Oh no.’ He’s like, ‘They’re misinterpreting it,’” Dylan stated. “And I can’t remember what he was saying, but I think he said that he thought it was a really good dance. So he is like, ‘Is that the highest score they would give?’” the DWTS alum added.
“I think he was more like, ‘That should have been higher or something like that.’ But that Zac was, yeah, I don’t know. It was funny regardless,” Dylan said. “But Zac got defensive. He is like, ‘No, they misinterpreted what I meant.’”
I’m glad that Zac finally came to the ballroom to cheer on his brother.
Dancing with the Stars is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
