It looks like it’s a season of change for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice. She’s been debating her reality TV future, she’s buried the hatchet with her brother, her daughter has flown the coop, and now she’s teasing a move out of the Garden State. Inside sources claim this may have something to do with the taxes her husband, Luis Ruelas, still owes.

Luis Ruelas is accused of owing almost $3 million in tax

Fans first heard about Luis’ potential financial problems on Season 14 of RHONJ. Then they revealed it in court, and it eventually made the headlines. Due to a questionable business venture, Luis was sued for $300,000 and hit with a multimillion-dollar tax lien.

While the news is that Teresa has paid her taxes, according to RadarOnline, Luis still owes almost $3 million in taxes. This might be a contributing factor to the changes Teresa has been teasing recently.

She’s been publicly flirting a move to Florida. At BravoCon, she said she “hates the cold weather” and may choose to split time between Jersey and Florida. She also added that she has a “huge house,” and with Gia Giudice having moved out, once Audriana moves out, they’ll “see what happens.”

Teresa also said she’d love to join the ladies of The Real Housewives of Miami. Although this may be due to the uncertainty she’s facing with RHONJ. While no one has announced anything yet, rumors suggest she isn’t coming back to the franchise. So why not look elsewhere?

All of this could be a part of something bigger, said an inside source. The insider said to look at the facts behind what Teresa has been saying. Between Luis’ tax debts and the taxes on their large home aren’t cheap either.

“Some people close to them are wondering if the move to Florida could be a way to sell their house, make money, pay off their debts, and move somewhere cheaper,” the source revealed. They also revealed that Teresa never admits when times are tough, so she won’t be sharing this publicly. Fans have to learn to read between the lines.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
