Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are sharing their sometimes-messy relationship with viewers once again. As Season 10 of Summer House gears up to premiere in February, a teaser depicts a tense situation between the couple. As ever, the rest of the cast are on hand to commiserate. But the issue is a recurring problem for Amanda and Kyle, who wed in 2021.
Summer House fans know that Kyle’s partying has been a source of conflict for years. In Season 3, the Loverboy founder cheated during a wild night. Nowadays, Kyle is still out until the wee hours nursing his fledging DJ career. The question is, will Amanda continue to put up with it?
Amanda Batula said Kyle Cooke slept at a “fan’s apartment” in the Summer House Season 10 trailer
In a clip for the Season 10 trailer, Amanda revealed to Ciara Miller and Lindsay Hubbard that Kyle “came home at like, 6:30 in the morning” after allegedly sleeping at a fan’s apartment. Now, Kyle is responding in an statement shared with People.
“There’s no excuse for staying out as late as I did, but I want to be clear that I did not sleep at a fan’s apartment,” the Bravolebrity said. “I was at an event that Amanda chose not to attend, which moved to a bar and then to an after-party.”
“I don’t use anything to keep myself wired, so I think I ended up falling asleep on a couch, and suddenly it was almost 6 a.m.,” Kyle continued. “Do I regret the situation? Absolutely. But that’s the truth and full extent of what happened.”
This comes on the heels of rumblings that the duo are living separately. Amanda denied the rumors, but clearly there is trouble in paradise. And Summer House fans are coming to the swimwear designer’s defense big time.
As for her co-stars, Ciara and Lindsay were shocked. The trailer indicated further tension when Amanda questioned Kyle’s endless partying.
“I wanted him to stop going out and partying, and he found a career where he goes out late and parties,” she lamented.
For his part, Kyle complained about Amanda not being more present. He stated, “I played the biggest gig of my life, and Amanda couldn’t care less. I don’t know what matters to her anymore.”
He seems to skirt the real issue, and instead opined that the marital issues are due to “compatability, chemistry, and intimacy.” With that seeming lack of self-awareness, Amanda may have no alternative but to give her husband an ultimatum. Ciara seems to think it’s the right course of action.
Season 10 of Summer House premieres Tuesday, February 3 at 8/7c on Bravo. The show streams on Peacock, or Hayu in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
