It looks like the Vanderpump Rules reboot could be dead on arrival. A new insider report suggests that Bravo could put the show out of its misery after Season 12. Supposedly, a combination of low ratings, poor audience response, and questionable behavior from Lisa Vanderpump might prompt Bravo to pull the plug on the long-running series.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 12 premiere brought in less than 300,000 live viewers

We’re only on Episode 2 of the Pump Rules reboot, but fans have been vocal online. They’re not feeling the newbies, and they didn’t make a good first impression in the Season 12 premiere.
According to a new report from The Sun, the negative reaction and shockingly low ratings have people close to production concerned about the show’s future. Bravo already has one failed reboot with The Real Housewives of New York. Can they really afford another?
“Bravo execs are struggling with the reboot. First of all, they don’t find the show to be as good, that’s the biggest issue,” an insider claimed.
They added, “The cast is not landing with the audience like the network thought before they filmed, and this big revival turned out to be a letdown.”
The Pump Rules Season 12 premiere only drew in 290,000 live viewers on December 2. That’s a series low and an 80% drop from Season 11. Of course, network execs also look at Peacock streaming and other on-demand numbers. It’s not just about the live ratings, but it’s still not the warm response Bravo wanted.
On top of the viewership concerns, the insider also suggested that Bravo execs are growing frustrated with Lisa and her lack of allegiance to the network. Allegedly, some folks feel that she’s spending too much time focused on Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa and didn’t promote the Pump Rules reboot to its full extent.
Either way, we all know it’s way too soon to write off Pump Rules — at least not yet. Season 12 is just getting started, and there’s plenty of time for LVP and her crew to turn things around.
Vanderpump Rules airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo, along with next-day streaming on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
