Austen Kroll had to have felt betrayed by Craig Conover. During the recent episode of Southern Charm, the friends started bickering at a cast party. As if to weaponize the information, Craig dropped a bombshell. He told Austen that there was a cheating rumor circulating about him.
At that point, Austen was still dating Audrey Pratt. They were together since December 2023, and were navigating a long-distance relationship. So when Craig had Shep Rose repeat what he had heard, it put the Trop Hop Beers founder in a delicate situation.
Austen Kroll accused his two friends of “callously” spreading “bullsh*t”
During Season 11, Episode 4, Craig challenged Shep to repeat a rumor that would “literally ruin” Austen’s life. It was during a heated exchange that the original Southern Charm star revealed the “totally unsubstantiated” rumor.
Shep explained that during a trip to New York City, two women told him that Austen was “talking to” one of their friends. It was a suggestion that Austen had cheated on Audrey.
Shep stayed mum on the matter after Craig suggested telling him would disrupt Austen’s “peace.” Interestingly enough, the Sewing Down South founder was not so concerned about his friend’s “peace” during this argument.
“Come the f*ck on. There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that I have cheated on my girlfriend,” Austen responded in a confessional interview. “Which is why it upsets me so much that my two friends can so callously spread just bullsh*t.”
Austen questioned if the duo were “real friends” for harboring the “conjecture.” The Bravolebrity was confused as to why talking to “some f*cking girl in New York” would “ruin” his relationship with Audrey. As it turns out, the two had an understanding in their relationship.
“Dude, I’m talking to girls at the bar, and f–king Audrey knows,” he revealed. “And she tells me that she talks to guys at the bar.”
In a later scene, Austen told Rodrigo Reyes that Audrey was understanding and did not question him when she found out.
“I called Audrey, and she was like, ‘How was the dinner party?'” he said. “I was like, ‘Well, ya know, my two ‘great friends’ brought up some baseless rumor. And she wasn’t like, ‘Is this true?’ She was just like, ‘I’m sorry. That sucks.'”
And her then-boyfriend praised her for it in confessional. Austen said, “It feels amazing to have the support of my girlfriend. You know, security with me and Audrey is like … at the very, very top.”
Austen announced their break up mid-November 2025 at BravoCon.
