The Southern Charm cast recently celebrated a literary-character themed birthday party. It seems that Madison LeCroy dressing up as Shep Rose for the bash was apt.
Sure, the Southern Charm original star doesn’t have to earn money. He’s got a comfortable trust fund situation. He’s a reality TV star. And in 2021, Shep published a book called Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar. Perhaps the itch struck again, because Shep is back to writing. He does have a way with words.
Shep Rose has written a second book
Earlier this month, Shep spoke with The Daily Dish about his new endeavor, a second book. The book is due to drop in the coming months with the title It’s Nothing in Moderation, a Psychedelic Reckoning with Excess.
“I wrote a book,” the Southern Charm favorite revealed. “It’s being edited, and it’ll come out this spring.”
Shep teased the content, which has to do with his healing journey and “going to do ayahuasca” in Costa Rica. In January 2024, the Bravolebrity checked into the Rythmia Life Advancement Center to better himself. It was there that he tried the South American psychoactive drink.
“It was so crazy and so interesting. And I just started writing as soon as I landed at the airport and got on this bus with some new friends and fellow participants,” he revealed nearly a year later during the Off the Cupp with S.E. Cupp podcast.
Will this book read the same as Shep’s first book? The first boasted a “snarky voice” from the Southern Charm star. It was written as a personal memoir as a “relatable collection of lessons and anecdotes about living an untamed, genuine life, raising hell, yet having fun along the way,” according to the publisher.
In addition to being a published writer, Shep has equity in numerous Charleston bars. He also sells merch via his Shep Gear line.
