Ever since her split from Mauricio Umansky, fans (and friends) have been speculating about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards’ love life. She’s been tight-lipped about everything, but in the newest season of the show, she finally opened up about a romantic relationship she was in after she and Mauricio parted ways.
RHOBH fans theorized Kyle Richards was once dating Morgan Wade
Fans of the show know that Mauricio has no problem splashing his dating life across the tabloids. For Kyle, she’d rather keep things private, even with everyone asking. However, in the latest episode of RHOBH, she finally opened up and admitted she was in a relationship after the split.
She spoke about it during a conversation with Erika Jayne and again in a confessional. “Since separating from Mau, I was in a relationship. I was in a very vulnerable place in my life, and I fell hard for this person,” she admitted for the first time. “When I’m in love with somebody, I want to share that. I’m an open person like that. But that doesn’t mean the person I’m with feels the same way.”
Kyle clarified that she’s single now. “All the speculation and the gossip and the talking is what ultimately ended it. I could’ve weathered the storm. But this is not for everyone.”
Many fans have speculated that Kyle was dating country singer Morgan Wade, a rumor they both denied. But they did spend a lot of time together, they traveled together, and Kyle even appeared in Morgan’s music video. Despite not confirming her by name, fans are happy Kyle is being open and sharing on the show.
In the comments, many even expressed sadness that the relationship had to end because it was apparent that Kyle cared deeply about the other person. But she’s right, and Erika called it when she said reality TV is not for everyone.
As for why she kept mum about it, Kyle appeared to admit that even if she wanted to share her joy, her partner was much more private. “What’s hard is I can only speak on my behalf,” Kyle told US Weekly in 2024. “I’m not here to speak on anyone’s behalf but my own, especially someone who’s not signed up to do this show and doesn’t want to be spoken about on the show.”
