It’s time to stop asking Kimora Lee Simmons about The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It’s not going to happen. Like ever.
First of all, she just launched her own show on E!, Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane. She doesn’t need RHOBH. Second of all, she just plain doesn’t want to do it! Here’s why.
Kimora Lee Simmons has been “asked a lot” to join the Real Housewives franchise
For years, fans have been adding Kimora to their lists of dream RHOBH cast members. And every time the subject comes up, Kimora has to remind folks that she’s not interested. The producers have asked her plenty of times.
Kimora opened up about the subject again during a recent appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. During the interview, she said that she was fully aware that reality TV fans wanted to see her back on TV, but she really didn’t want it to be via RHOBH. According to her, that show is a bunch of “manufactured crap.”
She explained that despite being asked “a lot” to join RHOBH, she preferred to stick with something closer to Life in the Fab Lane. She said she wanted to steer clear of the drama that comes along with the Housewives.
“I didn’t want to go on the Housewives, and people wanted me to go on there on TV like that, and I didn’t want to fight with these girls,” Kimora explained. “And I didn’t want to have manufactured drama with these girls.”
Instead of playing in the mud with the likes of Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne, Kimora decided to stay in the Fab Lane. The new series premiered a few weeks ago, and just like the original version of the show, it follows her life as a mom and an entrepreneur. It’s drama-free, and the only shade she’s catching is from her six kids.
