Brittany Cartwright’s marriage to Jax Taylor ended when the duo announced their separation in February 2024. It was the first step in the right direction, her fans felt, after the long suffering The Valley star had enough of dealing with her estranged husband on the public stage. In August of the same year, Brittany filed for divorce.
There were indications that Jax would drag out the divorce proceedings by his own folly. The Vanderpump Rules alum insisted on representing himself at first. This led to some significant mistakes, such as incorrectly filing out papers and giving Brittany full custody of their son, Cruz. He finally hired a lawyer. But as of BravoCon, in November 2025, the former couple were still not divorced. Has anything changed since then?
Brittany Cartwright is hoping her divorce will be finalized before the end of the year
During a panel at BravoCon, Brittany revealed a tentative timeline of December 2025 to finalize the divorce. Prior to that, The Valley star was banking on October 15, but that fell through. On the December 12 episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany revealed that the procedure is still ongoing.
“Still not final. Hopefully final within the month,” she revealed.
Brittany continued, “I mean, this has just been a process. Oh my gosh, a lot of things I obviously can’t talk about yet, but just, I’m hoping, fingers crossed, that it will happen soon.”
The mother-of-one also addressed her dating life while on the podcast. She had a brief romance with Brandon Hanson, but blamed publicity hype for it ending. Nowadays, “your girl is still single.”
Brittany teased on her podcast, “So let me know if you know anybody hot I should date.” The reality TV star loves “being single.” But during BravoCon, she explained that her ideal man “somebody who’s a family man, somebody who eventually would love Cruz.”
