Cathy Skinner is getting a massive kick out of Max Salvador this season on Below Deck Mediterranean. They are both larger-than-life characters, bearing vastly different quirks. Yet, these two yachties are still making things work. And now, on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Cathy is revealing why this is the case, while detailing the ins and outs of their Season 10 chemistry.

When Cathy boarded the yacht in Episode 7, she and Max visually clocked one another. Now, several episodes later, they are locked into a boatmance on Below Deck Med. So, when Cathy appeared on her first-ever taping for WWHL, host Andy Cohen had many questions to ask. And most of them centered around her Season 10 romance with Frenchie.
When asked to describe her first impression of Max, Cathy quipped, “Exotic.” As for the defining moment that made Cathy realize she liked Max, Cathy explained that Max helped her “through a difficult time.” When she learned about her stepfather’s passing in Episode 13, Max was there. But Cathy is also an honest woman, so when Andy next asked, “What made Max an impressive deckhand (pronounced like dickhead, IYKYK), Cathy hysterically answered, “nothing.”
Regardless, his best physical attribute is “his arms,” which makes Max a “good cuddler.” And when compared to “her previous lovers,” Cathy rates Max as “great.” Additionally, yes, Max has practiced hypnosis on Cathy, “twice.” Yet, when pressed about whether her sessions with Max worked or not, Cathy would only joke, “No comment.”
Max is also not a big user of deodorant, Cathy shared. As for their current status post-filming, well, we asked Cathy this very question yesterday. She wouldn’t tell us much, as Cathy loves “the suspension and storyline. But, take it how you will, we speak a lot, [and] we have such a great friendship, or more, together,” Cathy expertly teased.
