Welcome to the recap for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6, Episode 16, the finale! Last week, Meredith turned that frown upside down, but that still wasn’t good enough for the group. Whitney continued to gossip to everyone she could regarding Meredith and substance abuse allegations. Bronwyn also put it out into the universe that she thought Seth was possibly cheating on Meredith. And finally, Lisa stirred it up with Britani when she wondered if she was an “alkie lush.” Here’s exactly what went down in Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6, Episode 16: “Sisters of Salt, a Greek Tragedy.”

As per tradition, we ended the season with the group announcing some uncomfortable truths about each other. But this time it was done via a play in the style of a Greek tragedy. RHOSLC always brings the camp! Bronwyn admitted to her issues with loyalty, and Lisa shared feelings of disappointment in herself. But when Meredith opened up about her hesitation to let people in, the group pounced on her. They insisted something was wrong with her behavior but still hadn’t provided any receipts, proof, or timeline to back it up. It was now a house divided, with Meredith and Lisa against everyone else.

The horror vibe was in full swing as we flash forward to an outdoor play in the darkest of night, with actors in long white robes and white masks. Tense music played as quick snippets of the ladies arguing splashed onto the screen, the actors fell to the ground, and a cacophony of tears were heard. Time to grab the popcorn!

Flash back to 12 hours earlier with another horrific scene. Mary was aghast at the sight of Angie’s still swollen lip. Bronwyn joked in her confessional, “Look, we are really seeing Angie’s heritage at work here. She’s so Greek …” How Greek was she? “She’s so Greek; she’s a full-on tragedy.” Ba dum tss!

And speaking of tragedy, Angie had something up her sleeve. She said, “I found a playwright that’s going to write a play about us in the style of ancient Greek theater.” The writer then interviewed them one by one, with Britani sharing she was “deep,” and Mary noting, “I like all of them except one. But that’s okay.”

After Mary calmed down, it was Bronwyn’s turn to get scared. She saw Meredith making coffee, and … she was happy! Bronwyn pulled Mary aside and wondered how that was possible, as Meredith had sent her unhinged texts at 1:30am, such as “Are you still awake” and “Want to come down here for a sec?”

Bronwyn said Meredith felt nervous everyone was talking about her during the trip and felt it was weird that Meredith wanted to know what they talked about at lunch. Which, coincidentally, was all about Meredith, proving Meredith’s suspicions to be true.

Bronwyn also felt betrayed that every time she gossiped to Meredith, Meredith brought it up to the group. Pot calling kettle, anyone?

Bronwyn then confronted Meredith outside. She told her she felt they had an “uncomfortable conversation” when Meredith asked her what was said at lunch. Meredith immediately cut her off and said she never asked that question.

In her confessional, Bronwyn pulled out her thesaurus and stated, “I am gooped, gagged, bamboozled, befuddled. She’s going to make me look like I’m crazy? That’s some tom-f*cking-foolery I’m not going to deal with.”

Meanwhile, in her confessional, Meredith said Bronwyn was full of it. She shared that Bronwyn was anxious about Angie’s play. Meredith said, “I just texted her so I could comfort her and say that ‘if you talked about something that’s contentious, that’s probably what will be there’ … I was just trying to be nice, that’s it.” Ahem, like talking about Seth possibly cheating, cough, cough.

Their conversation was put on pause, though, as it was time to meet Angie’s cousin, Michalis. He joined the group for lunch and regaled them with tales of Angie’s parents back in the war. Angie didn’t know much about her mom and was looking forward to bringing Elektra to Greece so she could learn more about that side of her family. We all know how much Elektra was going to love that

After that lovely lunch, things got messy again. During their ride back home, Bronwyn brought up her conversation with Meredith to the group. For her part, Meredith continued to calmly deny asking about the lunch, while Bronwyn was in hysterics.

Bronwyn was shaking and accused Meredith of gaslighting her … over asking about a lunch? Meredith sighed, “I’m so tired of this. This is a load of sh*t.”

Let the community theater commence!

The RHOSLC crew is known for their community theater antics, and they embraced that here with Angie’s play. As they walked down a moonlit dirt pathway to watch the show, Mary observed, “Looks like a haunted house.” Still, she approved of the normal stairs as they walked down to an open area with chairs. It wasn’t their usual parking lot with folding chairs, but it was close.

Then it was showtime. The cast walked out ominously in their white robes and masks. The Sisters of Salt began. The tense vibe didn’t last long, because Mary was cracking up the entire time. While the group seemed uneasy with what was being said about them, Mary had a blast.

The playwright got some major shade in right away during the opening scene when they started with Lisa, “one of the eldest.” Ouch! Heather got the nickname “The Deflector,” and she laughs because “crying would make you real.”

Bronwyn wasn’t two-faced; she was “no-faced.” Lisa got another sick burn that she never apologized because “humility is the only thing you can never afford.” Angie and Mary got off easy with just having a sharp tongue, and Britani was called out for focusing on men instead of her kids. Whitney was branded a floozy, and Meredith was noted as unpredictable. How predictable.

Then came the tragedy. The sisters drank their “truth like poison” (as Britani sipped her wine to match the actors), and they all collapsed. The narrator ended with, “The truth was revealed. You’re no one without your sisters.” Now it was time for these “Sisters of Salt” to get salty with each other.

Bronwyn jumped in and said she was hurt by the accusation she wasn’t loyal but owned up to it. She said, “I have a deep issue of not feeling like people are loyal to me. And a big part of that is probably because I am not loyal to other people, or I don’t know how to be.” Then in her confessional, she dropped a bombshell. She said, “Todd has been disloyal to me.”

Lisa started unbothered, but her materialistic image hit home. When she admitted she hid behind her things, Angie quipped, “Your watch? Your rings?” But Lisa didn’t take the bait. Instead, she shared she felt the constant need to prove herself and had feelings of disappointment. However, she was happy to have this group of friends to support her, especially Angie. The two kissed and made up, but how long would it last?

Meredith went next and said she had a hard time with betrayal and opening up to people. As she talked, Heather huffed disbelievingly from the sidelines. She couldn’t be silent anymore and accused Meredith of ruining their day by asking Bronwyn for information.

Whitney joined in, and suddenly Bad Weather was yelling at her from both sides for supposedly asking about what happened at lunch. Meredith threw her hands up; this was why she didn’t open up to the group. She was tired of being yelled at, and Heather yelled she wasn’t yelling, so Meredith stormed off to the bathroom.

A frustrated Mary shouted, “What are we doing? Why are we here if we’re not friends? Why are we here if we don’t even get each other?”

Even though Mary was chuckling during the play, she didn’t appreciate what was said about herself. She noted that she didn’t wear any mask. Then she wondered why no one felt they couldn’t tell Meredith they thought something was wrong. When no one volunteered, Mary rolled up her sleeves and did it herself.

Meredith returned and asked, “I have one question. What’s the goal?” Mary told her they were concerned and felt she was spiraling. Meredith had enough and went to leave. When they asked her to stay, she said, “What is there to talk about? For you guys to tell me I’m not okay when I am okay?”

Then came the projections. Whitney brought up her dad and why she felt Meredith’s behavior was similar. Bronwyn dished she had hard times in her marriage and wondered if Meredith did as well. Then she spilled the tea she saw Seth with another woman. At that point Meredith hit her limit.

Lisa stood up for her and thought it was gross what Bronwyn insinuated. Everything was hearsay, and no one had any receipts. As Meredith tried to call a car, Heather broke down in tears while taunting her, “You, can, leave!” It seemed nothing would make anyone happy unless Meredith admitted she had substance abuse issues and her husband was a cheater.

A line was now drawn in the sand. It was Lisa and Meredith versus everyone else. And the battle will continue on at the reunion!

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
