Katie Ginella recently announced that she will not be part of Season 20 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. And it wasn’t her decision. After a rocky Season 19, her co-stars allegedly refused to film with her, and Katie sat out much of the season.
Meanwhile, according to Tamra Judge, the only cast member who is definitely holding an orange for RHOC Season 20 is Vicki Gunvalson. The “OG of the OC” was offered an orange at BravoCon.
However, Katie just dropped some tea about one cast member who is reportedly returning.
Katie said Real Housewives of Orange County fans will see Emily Simpson on Season 20
In a TikTok, Katie and her son, Bandon, were in a car as she stated that she told Bandon that she was no longer filming RHOC. “He was like, ‘Mom, maybe this is better. You don’t have to see Emily [Simpson] ever again,'” Katie stated. To celebrate Katie’s new chapter, the duo indulged in some Taco Bell.
Meanwhile, in the comments, a follower wrote, “Question is .. do we still have to see Emily?” And Katie replied, “You do!! Have fun!!” One follower wrote, “It should’ve been Emily.” Another added, “When can WE never see Emily again?”
During Season 19, Emily’s main storyline was her son Luke’s health struggles. I found her story to be both emotional and compelling. However, some fans have criticized Emily for not having storylines in recent seasons. Meanwhile, when rumors started to spread that Emily was getting the ax, her bestie, Gina Kirschenheiter, weighed in. She stated that it was “absolutely not” true that Emily was fired.
Of course, Bravo does not comment on casting until closer to a show’s premiere. So, we will have to hang tight to find out if Katie was correct about Emily’s involvement.
