Katie Ginella was not invited to return to The Real Housewives of Orange County. It seems the cast’s refusal to film with her and icing her out had the intended effect. It’s unfortunate, given that she was the first RHOC star to represent the Asian American community. And she brought a refined manner for the two seasons she participated.
Katie does have support from a percentage of fans. But she also has friends that are ready to make a statement on her behalf. One in particular dropped out of casting in solidarity with Katie.
Attorney Kathleen Martinez will not be joining the RHOC Season 20 cast

Kathleen Martinez was in talks to join the Season 20 cast. But after her friend Katie was fired, she withdrew her application. And the professional attorney posted about her decision it on social media.
“RHOC 20?” a fan asked with the hashtag #bosslady.
“I dropped out of casting the minute she was fired,” Kathleen responded.
The original post was a video of the two ladies dancing together. The potential RHOC star captioned it, “No you won’t be seeing me on your TV because if you don’t want her you can’t have me either.”
When engaging in the comment section, the issue of cast politics came up. Mainly the perceived MAGA leanings of the current cast. Kathleen wrote in support, “the only two people in the cast who have said anything about ICE are Katie and Tamra. Says a lot.”
Kathleen got a lot of praise for her decision. So the RHOC cast will be down an attorney, but Katie previously confirmed that Emily Simpson will be representing the profession when she returns for Season 20. Much to the chagrin of the alum’s supporters.
When a fan asked if RHOC viewers “still have to see Emily,” Katie responded, “You do!! Have fun!!”
The Real Housewives of Orange County is now streaming on Peacock.
