Longtime besties Jennifer Tilly and Sutton Stracke have hit a bit of a rough patch on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Perhaps she’s got things going on in her life (such as her ex-husband asking for an annulment), but Sutton just seems extra snippy this season. Sadly, her BFF of many years has taken the brunt, admitting that sometimes Sutton “hurts people.”
But things really come to a head during a dinner out during the RHOBH trip to Sedona, Arizona.
Jennifer Tilly says Sutton Stracke’s behavior “affects” her
As shown in the Bravo clip above, Erika Jayne had just labeled newbie Amanda Frances as being “gossipy.” But when Jennifer tried to add her thoughts, Sutton cut her off.
“It’s also, too—,” Jennifer started, before Sutton snapped, “Please stop. Just stop.”
After explaining that she was just going to steer the conversation in another direction, the Chucky star resigned herself to silence. “I don’t think there’s anything great I can say right now, so I will not say anything,” she sighed.
“When people are snapping at you,” she later reflected in a confessional, “eventually it affects you.”
In a flashback, we revisit a conversation when Jennifer playfully warned Sutton that you can’t force someone to be your friend. “That’s not what this is about, Jennifer,” Sutton scolded, “and you cannot mock me.”
In another instance, Jennifer was excited that she and Sutton were the first ones to arrive at the plane for the Sedona trip. “We’re the first ones here! I thought you’d be the last one here, but you’re the hostess,” she teased.
“Why are you starting this off by saying something snarky to me?” Sutton snapped. “Stop that.”
For Jennifer’s part, all the small cuts are taking their toll. “It’s like water dripping on a stone,” she said in another confessional. “After a period of time, the water bores a little hole into the stone.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
