Zarin Fabrics Posts Statement After Jill Zarin Bad Bunny Super Bowl Backlash

Former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin continues to make headlines. Her video rant about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show was shocking. The Instagram post was taken down, but the backlash has continued.

In her video, Jill stated that the NFL “sold out” because the performance was in Spanish. “It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating in the United States,” Jill remarked, “and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.” She added that it seemed like “a political statement” and called the situation “a shame.” Now, Zarin Fabrics is weighing in on Jill’s comments.

Zarin Fabrics wants the public to know they have nothing to do with Jill Zarin

When Jill and her late husband, Bobby Zarin, were part of RHONY, Zarin Fabrics was featured on the show. It is important to note that there is a banner across the top of the company’s website. It reads, “Zarin Fabrics has not been associated with Jill Zarin since Bobby’s death. We are proud Americans who accept all people no matter what language they speak.”

Now, the company has issued a clear statement via Instagram. In the post, there is a photo of Jill’s face with a large red X across it. “Zarin Fabrics stands firmly against racism, discrimination, and rhetoric that seeks to exclude or diminish people based on identity, culture, or background.” The statement continued, “We want to be absolutely clear that Jill Zarin has not had ownership of or been associated with Zarin Fabrics for several years. Our company operates independently, and any public statements attributed to her are made in a personal capacity and do not reflect our values, beliefs, or operations.”

We still don’t know if this backlash will affect the new E! series, The Golden Life, which features several RHONY OGs, including Jill.

The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock. Jill’s new E! show, The Golden Life, is reportedly coming later this year.
