Finally, someone has come to Jill Zarin’s defense after her comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance got her fired from E!’s upcoming Real Housewives of New York spinoff. The equally unemployed Brandi Glanville has waded into the conversation, and she thinks her Jill deserves a chance to explain her side.
Brandi Glanville doesn’t agree with Jill Zarin but wants her back on TV
Jill was set to return to our screens in E!’s RHONY reboot, The Golden Life. However, on February 10, they announced that Jill would no longer move forward after her racially charged comments about Bad Bunny’s performance sparked a major backlash.
After the news broke, Brandi took to X, formerly Twitter, to share her thoughts on the situation. According to the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Jill wasn’t “wrong” because she was just sharing her opinion.
“OK #1 I have a HUGE crush on Bad Bunny I wanna be his Mrs. Robinson?the 1/2 show rocked,” Brandi began.
“My friend Jill Zarin has her own opinion & I don’t agree with it AT ALL but opinions aren’t wrong they’re subjective,” she continued. “I want to watch Jill on TV explain herself & hopefully learn something. Or we can just keep watching ‘yes people’ afraid to share.”
As a reminder, Jill’s “opinion” about the Bad Bunny performance was that it seemed like a “political statement” because there weren’t enough white people featured. She said the NFL “sold out” by having him perform. Plus, she felt disturbed that the performance was primarily in Spanish.
Jill deleted the video, but she made herself pretty clear. We’re not sure what else Brandi wants to hear from her. Either way, Jill also released a statement saying that the network jumped the gun. She and Brandi seem to agree that E! shouldn’t have fired her so quickly.
“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Jill claimed. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
