When Kandi Burruss announced her divorce from Todd Tucker, the first person that came to everyone’s mind was Mama Joyce. Years ago, on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we all watched her warn Kandi about her relationship with Todd. Now, here we are, 11 years later, and everyone wants to hear her thoughts on their split. Mama Joyce was all smiles as Kandi Burruss continued to deal with her divorce
Earlier this week, TMZ caught up with Kandi and Mama Joyce. They saw Joyce first and tried to throw out questions about the divorce from Todd. She was grinning from ear to ear when the photog asked how she was feeling about their split.
“Well, I just feel like as long as Kandi is happy, I’m happy,” she said.
Hilariously, Kandi ran up right behind her and snatched her away from the cameras before her mom could answer any more questions. She knew better than to let Mama Joyce spill too much tea to TMZ. However, Kandi did mention that her mom has been “very nice lately” before laughing and walking away. That seems like a good sign!
Either way, the Mama Joyce update comes as Kandi’s divorce continues to make headlines. Just last week, she filed court documents accusing Todd of living rent-free in her guest house. The exes share two kids, and according to Kandi, he hasn’t been paying his fair share towards their basic needs.
Meanwhile, Todd hit back and accused Kandi of kicking him out of their main house without giving him any notice. It’s a huge mess, but everyone’s got their fingers crossed that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
