Viewers of The Real Housewives of Atlanta watched Kandi Burruss and her now-estranged husband Todd Tucker meet and fall in love. We watched them have two children together. But now, sadly, they’re going through a divorce.
So when Kandi visited Watch What Happens Live on February 22, host Andy Cohen had lots of questions for her. Fortunately, Kandi was prepared to spill some tea.
Kandi Burruss tackled Andy Cohen’s WWHL questions
“How long had you and Todd been considering a separation before you decided it was the right decision?” Andy asked. “Was there a specific moment or thing that happened?”
While she has previously admitted that the separation was “brewing for a while,” Kandi confessed that there was a “specific situation” that happened. However, “I’m not talking about it on Watch What Happens!” she laughed.
Moving on, Andy asked about Kandi and Todd’s “current relationship or nature of communication.”
“Sometimes our conversations can get a little intense,” Kandi confessed. “But for the most part, you know, even if we argue, we still, you know, try to be nice to each other.”
Currently, the couple are co-parenting their two children together: Ace, 10, and Blaze, 6. “Last night, we went to my son’s basketball game,” she said. “So, we were there sitting right next to each other … I feel like once we’re done with this, I really feel that we will be able to be great co-parents … Our ultimate goal is to make sure that all of our kids are happy and that they don’t feel the brunt of our drama.”
In addition to Ace and Blaze, Kandi has an adult daughter, Riley, from a previous relationship. Todd also has an adult daughter, Kaela.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is now streaming on Peacock.
