Things have officially gone from bad to worse at Kenya Moore‘s hair spa. Real Housewives of Atlanta fans watched her open the business in Season 16, only for it to be overshadowed by a notorious series of poster boards that may or may not have featured nude images of Brit Eady.
After that disaster, Kenya’s landlord wound up suing her. He accused her of owing $44k in rent, dating back to December 2024, with the amount climbing each day. Kenya’s lawyers tried to dispute the claim, but unfortunately, things didn’t go in her favor.
Kenya Moore owes a five-figure sum to her Hair Spa landlord
After facing accusations of failing to pay rent on the hair spa, Kenya clapped back with accusations of her own. She said that the landlord reneged on a plan to make renovations to the space. Kenya argued that she had to use her own money to transform the space into what we saw on TV.
In the court docs, she said renovations were necessary to make it “usable and to be occupied for its intended use.” The landlord was supposed to reimburse her, which never happened. However, the landlord said she was still on the hook for rent.
According to court documents reviewed by TMZ, a Georgia judge sided with the landlord. Her company, Moore Vision Media, has to pay $43,988 by the end of this month, along with another $43,988.67 by late March. That brings the total amount owed to $87,976. Can you imagine how many blowouts they would need to do at the hair spa to cover that?
Additionally, the judge said that Kenya needed to resume paying her monthly rent. That’s around $5,500 a month. If she doesn’t pay, she’ll need to vacate the premises.
Allegedly, things are already off to a shaky start following the court order. The landlord said she missed the February deadline for the first payment. As a result, they have asked the court to evict her from the property, but a decision hasn’t been made just yet.
