It’s hard to tell if Southern Charm stars Austen Kroll and Craig Conover cause more devastation when they’re single or in a relationship. But it looks like we’ll find out because the pair are single now and ready to just “make out.” The pair talks about their new single lives on the beach in the preview for Season 11, Episode 13.
Are the Southern Charm men enjoying the single life?
The latest season of Southern Charm has been a bit of a whirlwind for the single boys. In the beginning, Craig found himself in a pseudo-love triangle with Charley Manely and Salley Carson.
But then he finally decided to ask Charley out on a date and effectively friendzoned Salley. Yikes. But while that probably hurt (will Salley ever look at a chicken the same way again?), she didn’t stay sad for long.
Salley set her sights on Craig’s friend Austen. Hey, what’s good for the gander, right? And it looks like things, in general, are about to blow over. As for the boys, they maintain that they’re just enjoying their single lives.
In a moment of friendship between the two (they have certainly been arguing a lot this season), Craig and Austen sit on the beach and discuss being single.
“You know, we’re all single for the first time,” Craig began. “Me, you, Shep (Rose).”
But while they are technically single, it doesn’t mean they’ve been saints. Austen said he would “toot his own horn” for a second and revealed he made out with Salley in the bathroom of the Mexican pub they went to the night before. This prompted a high five.
“Even if I never wanted to have more first kisses, they are the best,” Craig revealed, alluding to his almost engagement. The pair admitted that making out is fun.
“I just wanna make out with people for a bit,” Austen said. “I think that’s what I wanna do.” He said that it was the first time since his split with Audrey Pratt that he was just allowed to have fun and have no regrets. Someone better tell Salley this.
As for Craig, he and Charley have been “hanging out a lot,” and he’s keeping it to himself because she still wants to keep this on the downlow, which Austen questions. But, for the record, the pair have kissed. Unfortunately, she seems to be afraid of liking him in front of Salley.
