Andy Cohen Teases RHOA Season 17: ‘The Cast We Have Been Waiting For’

This morning on Radio Andy, Andy Cohen teased the upcoming Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17. The new season premieres April 5 on Bravo.

According to Andy, “This is the cast we have been waiting for,” he told John Hill. “Now are you familiar with K. Michelle?” John responded that he was.

Executive producer Jordan Fazio also knows K. Michelle. Apparently, she’s not wasting any time setting off sparks with her castmates, as Drew Sidora has already unfollowed her.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is set to return to Bravo

“I have never seen one frame of Love & Hip Hop,” Andy admitted. “Now, once we started filming, and I was reading hot sheets from Atlanta, I DMed K. Michelle to say, ‘You’re so great. I’m so glad you’re on the team.'”

When Andy went into her social media, he found an unread DM from her “from like 2023 or something.” Ironically, she had messaged Andy, “I need a peach. This is the show that I belong on.”

“Somehow, I had missed this,” he laughed. “Oh, my god.”

“She’s a superstar,” John added.

“And then, do you know Pinky [Cole]?” Andy continued. “The founder of Slutty Vegan? Had you heard of Slutty Vegan before?”

Jordan had heard of both Pinky and her Atlanta plant-based fast-food chain, which she founded in 2018. Aiming to make veganism more mainstream, the restaurant features cheekily named burgers, like “One Night Stand” and “Sloppy Toppy.”

Evidently, K. Michelle and Pinky are already friends. Phaedra Parks has also known Pinky for over a decade.

“Pinky and Shamea [Morton Mwangi] are pals,” Andy continued. “Porsha [Williams] and K. Michelle are pals. K. Michelle and Pinky go way back. It’s a real group. But when I tell you I was cackling at the premiere … I watch the cuts and we give notes, and there was work to be done. But I was like, ‘Wow, this is super promising’ … So, I’m five episodes into Atlanta … and it is a delight.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 premieres Sunday, April 5 at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
