Lisa Rinna continues to push the boundaries of fashion. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum arrived at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in a show-stopping ensemble. She teamed up with fashion designer Christian Cowan and TRESemmé to create an unforgettable couture look that included 11 pounds of hair.

Lisa and Christian spoke to People about creating the unique look. Christian revealed he used 11 pounds of “ethically sourced human hair from three suppliers — Aliperal, Bellami, and The Hair Shop” to assemble the iconic look. Making a dress made entirely of hair is no easy feat, but thankfully, Christian had TRESemmé by his side. The Designer used products from TRESemmé’s A-List collection to help smooth and polish the hair.
Christian dished to People about the innovative look.
“I wanted to celebrate the beauty of Lisa, she’s a tour de force,” he said. “She’s so known for her iconic hair, so it felt fun to play with that.”
Lisa told the outlet she’s always game to do “wacky things” with Christian.
The Bravo star has become quite the fashion icon since leaving RHOBH. She’s appeared in fashion campaigns and walked the runway on multiple occasions. Andy Cohen tipped his hat to Lisa in an April 2024 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, telling listeners he is impressed with her success.
“I did not have it on my bingo card that Lisa Rinna would become, not only a model, but she is walking in couture campaigns in Paris,” he said. “She has become a real player in the fashion industry, and I am really impressed. I’ve got to give it up to her.”
