RHOBH’s Kyle Richards Defends ‘Self-Made’ Amanda Frances After Cast Backlash

Amanda Frances is attracting a lot of negative attention from her costars. But the original Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kyle Richards, is coming to her defense. The cast trip to Florence took a downturn as Amanda’s honesty was questioned repeatedly. Worse, her business was compared to a “cult.”

But Kyle is defending her new costar. And she’s bringing receipts. Specifically, the information from the sale of her former family home to Amanda in January 2022. The self proclaimed money queen put down a cool $6.1 million for the Bel Air home. Not only that, best selling author renovated the place from top to bottom. She’s certainly got the funds.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG is sticking up for the newbie

“She paid whatever she bought my house for in Bel Air,” Kyle explained on the RHOBH After Show. “She made that money. … And she bought the other house too. Like, so, she is self-made.”

Amanda offers “financial empowerment” and “manifestation” in the form of digital courses, blogs, and exclusive memberships. Whether her theory works has been called into question, as well as whether Amanda “built a cult.” In a notable scene from the recent RHOBH episode, the group asked ChatGPT to pull information on Amanda’s history.

The atmosphere continued into dinner, when Amanda was accused of presenting a “fake” version of herself. During the After Show, she reacted with the words “dumbfounded,” “shocked,” and “bewildered.”

“It’s a cult ’cause people love me? It’s a cult ’cause people who are in my work appreciate the work?” Amanda responded. “For it to be a cult, I would have to, like, have some way to control them.”

She added, “Some people are pretending not to understand; some people are not listening. But none of that is my fault. We have incredibly happy customers, an incredibly low refund rate. Like, even if these women don’t f*cking get it, can they not respect that a lot of people clearly do?”

Amanda was doubled-down on her stance that she will not open up to the group. She claims to feel unsafe. Her argument is that she is “emotionally regulated” rather than aloof. It remains to be seen how the season will continue for the newbie.
