It’s tagline time! Bravo just dropped the full intro for The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17, and there’s a lot to unpack. Naturally, the newest peach, K. Michelle, is coming in hot with a bold statement about “background singers.” We’re just one episode in, and she’s already raising a few eyebrows.
The RHOA taglines are a mixed bag for Season 17
This fresh set of taglines has more than one food metaphor and a couple of clunkers. Still, we’re trying to hold space for all of them in their own special way.
Porsha Williams starts things off, fully leaning into her many on-screen reinventions.
She says, “I’ve lived many lives, and all of them have been fabulous.”
Next up, Drew Sidora quips, “If you cast me in your drama, I only accept leading roles.”
Of course, we already know that Drew has accepted a leading role in K. Michelle’s storyline. Ahead of the season, the two of them have been exchanging nonstop shade.
Next up in the taglines are the newfound besties, Kelli Ferrell and Shamea Morton-Mwangi.
Shamea says, “I’ve been loyal to a fault, and now I’m ready to have my own back.”
Kelli adds, “I’m short, seasoned, and always a full-course meal.”
After a nearly flawless rookie season, Angela Oakley’s sophomore tagline falls a bit flat. It sounds like something we’ve heard from other sports-adjacent Housewives.
Angela says, “In a field of players, I always run it back.”
Not even an A for effort. Then, there’s Phaedra Parks, who follows up with a reference to her Season 16 feud with Angela. Based on what we’ve seen in the Season 17 opener, there’s still more to unpack with that story.
Phaedra says, “In a world of legends, they call me the Godfather.”
Last, but certainly not least, are Season 17 newbies. It should come as no surprise at all that Slutty Vegan founder Pinky Cole is making reference to her well-known dietary preferences.
Pinky teases, “While they’re busy beefing, I stay vegan.”
Then, K. Michelle closes things out with a big statement that sounds like she has already forgotten she is on an ensemble show.
K says, “I don’t need any background singers; it’s always my show.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. You can stream it the next day on Peacock.
