Pop star Britney Spears displayed disturbing behavior before she checked into rehab. Her final social media post on Sunday, April 12, showed the singer dancing in a thong.
Family and friends are concerned about Britney after a March DUI arrest. After driving erratically, 911 was notified. She was released from police custody right after being booked.
The singer “voluntarily” entered a wellness clinic
In the Sunday Instagram post, Britney filmed herself dancing and slapping her behind to Cardi B, J Balvin and Bad Bunnys song, “I Like It.” She wore a see-through black thong bodysuit paired with a red hat and knee-high black boots.
According to Us Weekly, Britney’s rep confirmed she checked into a treatment center voluntarily.
Following much public pressure, Britney’s almost 14-year conservatorship was terminated five years ago.
At her court hearing at that time she said, “The main reason why I’m here is because I want to end the conservatorship without being evaluated. I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years, and it’s enough.”
When the conservatorship ended, she married Sam Asghari, her boyfriend of six years. However, after 13 months of marriage, they separated in August 2023. On his Instagram Story, Sam wrote, “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.”
Britney later dated Paul Richard Soliz, who was with her when she was escorted from Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont in May 2024. In photos from the incident, Paul was wrapped in a blanket leaving the hotel with Britney. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson said the police were not notified. The couple later went their separate ways.
Her friends and family have voiced concern for the singer in recent days. After her arrest last month, the mom of two spent time with sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, who she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
