Megyn Kelly Attacks Pete Hegseth for ‘Praying Through War Briefings’ Amid Iran Conflict

Pete Hegseth is being urged to pump the brakes on his religious rhetoric. Megyn Kelly is getting sick of the Secretary of Defense constantly mentioning Jesus while updating the public on the Iran crisis. The political commentator believes there is a time and a place for that.

On her show, Megyn said, “It feels off that Pete Hegseth keeps praying at these briefings.” A 60 Minutes clip last weekend showed Pete at the podium praying before a press conference.

The former MAGA ally isn’t impressed by the US Secretary of Defense

Leave the preaching out of the Pentagon. That’s the message Megyn is conveying to the Secretary of Defense believing that is not the right setting for prayer. The former advocate for Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) slogan spoke out against Pete on Tuesday. She noted that 170 young girls died in the Iran bombings, which, for her, is not in the name of God or Jesus. “I wish you would just check the Jesus talk, the God talk at the Pentagon briefings,” said Megyn.

The podcast host wonders whether Pete’s praying is a way to justify America’s actions in the Middle East. The name of Jesus has been prominent in the news lately. This came after the POTUS posted an AI photo of himself as Jesus healing someone else. It went online not long after the President had blasted Pope Leo for opposing the Iran war. The President has said that he believes the depiction portrays him as a healer, not Jesus.

On her show, Megyn blasted the photo, calling it “blasphemous.” Megyn is a lifelong Catholic. Comedians and some of the President’s rivals are making fun of him for that photo. They scoffed at the idea that he didn’t believe it was him as Jesus.
