It’s not easy filming reality television shows, and no one knows that more than Housewives. For returning cast member Vicki Gunvalson of The Real Housewives of Orange County, it’s more intense than she remembers, and it’s taking its toll.
The Real Housewives of Orange County OG is unsure she can keep up with the rest of the Season 20 cast
Vicki got candid on her podcast, My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, and admitted that the filming schedule for RHOC 20 is more intense than she remembers.
“I don’t remember it as extreme as it is now,” Vicki shared. “It is 2-3 scenes a day, you’re meeting new people.” She feels like she is constantly meeting people to follow-up from conversations and catch up.
Vicki is an OG on RHOC but hasn’t been a full-time cast member since Season 13. Now, she’s wondering if it’s the show and filming that’s changed or if it’s just where she is in life now that’s busier.
“Yeah, either my business got busier, or I’m older,” she ruminated. “I don’t know if I can sustain like I used to.” She added that the pace is overwhelming.
“It’s just very demanding, very tiring,” she explained. “And when I’m filming, I’m looking at my clock, like, when can I get home. That’s not a way to do it.”
Plus, she added that keeping up with the group is hard for her, too. “Cause I feel anxious, and I feel like I have to stay and do what everyone else is doing. And it’s not fair for them if I can leave,” Vicki said.
She recently hit a breaking point that affirmed this. “Last night was the first night I bailed out like after two hours,” she revealed. “I said I’m exhausted and I can’t do it.”
Some fans were thrilled to have Vicki back on RHOC, but it looks like filming feels different for her, and it might not be sustainable.
