Survivor 50 continues to shock and delight fans. The twists this season are epic, and the players have risen to the occasion. One of the more memorable tribals involved the blindside of Mike White, which was masterminded by his ally, Christian Hubicki. Oh, how the tables have turned!
Of course, Christian, Mike, and Angelina Keeley competed in Survivor: David vs Goliath. During that season, Christian was voted out by Angelina and Mike. Meanwhile, Christian has been a fan favorite because of his charming demeanor and incredible intellect. After all, this man started a fire during Season 50 using his glasses.
Christian sent his friend a “long message,” but got no response
However, Christian’s game ended during the most recent episode. During Episode 9, after failing to complete a puzzle on his journey, he was forced to write his own name down at tribal. Jimmy Fallon created that diabolical twist. However, this season has been called out for pregaming among the players and celebrity involvement.
After filming wrapped, Christian sent “a long message” to The White Lotus creator. “I basically said, ‘Look, Mike, I totally understand you feel hurt. This was not the part of some grand plan,” Christian told Page Six. “It was just a really bad situation where I had to choose: who do I go with? And ultimately, getting rid of Mike separated Ozzy [Lusth] and Angelina so they wouldn’t work together.” The robotic professor added, “It was all to defuse the target at the merge.”
However, Christian needed to look out for number one. “I know he also deeply cares about this show,” Christian said of Mike. “So, taking that away from him, I knew it would hurt, but I could not march into the merge a dead man on his behalf.”
Christian continued, “The whole thing takes a while to process, and so I don’t blame him. But my phone is always open to him if he ever wants to talk about it.”
