Summer House Season 10 has been all about the issues between Kyle Cooke and his wife, Amanda Batula. And this was way before Scamanda dropped. The season kicked off with the two at odds, and the tension has continued on during each episode since. However, during Season 10, Episode 13, Kyle gave a little more insight as to what their underlying issues are when he got vulnerable about Amanda to the group.
The Loverboy founder opened up before shutting the conversation down
Kyle and Amanda have had a rough go the past few seasons. But this season has been the worst of it. It kicked off with Kyle admitting he didn’t know how to make Amanda happy anymore, and that scared him.
Things didn’t get any better between the two of them when Kyle started talking about Amanda behind her back. Not only did Amanda have issues with that, she brought up Kyle’s drinking as well. Then things really went south when Kyle blew up at Amanda for hanging out with her friends, including West Wilson, instead of him.
Needless to say, their relationship was hanging by a thread. And things did not look any better when Kyle opened up to the group in Season 10, Episode 13 about their relationship.
While on a boat, Kyle talked about not having Amanda with him for the weekend. He shared, “It feels weird without Amanda here.” Jesse Solomon wondered if Kyle felt he could have a good time because she wasn’t there.
Kyle responded, “I mean, yeah. Dude, when I’m just being myself I feel like I just irritate her.” Jesse tried to smooth over the situation. He said, “You’re different people, but that’s ok. But the reality is you guys are either just gonna accept and love each other for who you are … or it’s I don’t know.” Good try, Jesse.
At this point, Kyle was done sharing. He told them, “Can I be honest? Can we just not talk about this? I’m already like, I was having a good weekend.”
