Brooke Hogan chose not to participate in Netflix’s new docuseries about her dad Hulk Hogan.
Released on April 22, Hulk Hogan: Real American features the late WWE legend’s final interview prior to his death. Though Brooke declined to be interviewed for the four-part documentary, other members of her family spoke on camera. Her brother Nick Hogan, her mom Linda Hogan, and Hulk’s widow Sky Daily Hogan were all featured.

Brooke sat down with Extra on April 27. She didn’t agree with the way her father’s story was handled. “It’s missing 98 percent of real life,” she said. “Like, it was a beautiful showcase piece on my dad’s life, but it didn’t talk nearly [enough] about the underbelly of the beast.”
Admitting that she watched the documentary, she said afterward that she was “kind of scared” something unexpected would be revealed. Nevertheless, “nothing in the documentary was a surprise.”
The singer and HGTV host acknowledged that her relationship with her father, who passed away in July 2026, was complicated. “He did really hurt me, and I never really got a genuine apology or a sorry,” she added.
“The forgiveness just came from my love for him,” she continued. “But even in the documentary … there wasn’t accountability … I was just like, ‘This is basically your last chance to really be honest.'”
Hulk, who suffered a fatal heart attack at 71, shared a few revelations in his final interview. Not only did he discuss his affair with his daughter’s former friend, but he admitted his drug use. He claimed to use a staggering amount of fentanyl late in his wrestling career.
However, according to his daughter he “quit cold turkey” a long time ago. She also didn’t think he had “an addictive personality at all towards drugs.”
“I think his addiction was validation, particularly from women,” she went on. “I think that it was, you know, the sex part … ‘Am I still young? … Am I still attractive?’ … That led to a lot of his downfalls and a lot of his scandals.”
