Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to Australia wasn’t just a casual visit; it was a “make-or-break” moment for their business prospects, according to a source. Their trip reportedly included both business and philanthropic work, and the couple funded it themselves.
The last time Harry and Markle visited Australia was in 2018. Two years later, they stepped down from their roles as senior working royals and settled in Montecito. Now, with Markle’s reported Netflix deals facing setbacks, the couple is said to be focusing on getting back on track professionally.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Australia trip was to enhance their global brand, per source
A report by RadarOnline suggests that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s trip to Australia in April was a “make-or-break” moment for them. Their trip reportedly lasted four days. During the trip, they visited a children’s hospital, attended a wellness event, and took part in charity work. As per a source, the Duchess of Sussex used the trip for business purposes and to take As Ever international.
An insider said, “The stakes could not be higher.” The reference here is to the fact that the show “With Love, Meghan” got canceled. Moreover, Markle’s podcasts, including “Archetypes” and “Confessions of a Female Founder,” have been discontinued. Netflix has also ended its partnership with her lifestyle brand, As Ever, meaning she will now have to operate it independently.
All in all, the Sussexes’ deals are reportedly slipping away from their hands, while they continue to maintain a high-profile lifestyle. A royal expert said, “They have that 16-bedroom house in Montecito – let alone their security. They have a very high financial bar to meet every month, and they are spending a lot of money.”
Hence, they took their Australia trip very seriously. According to a source, she has “secured 12 new As Ever Aussie trademarks ahead of this trip.” The insider continued, “They both need As Ever to succeed now.”
