Shock jock Howard Stern has spoken out about his former executive assistant’s lawsuit against him and his wife, Beth. Leslie Kuhn is seeking $2.5 million in damages against the couple over a hostile work environment.
The SiriusXM star hired Leslie as office manager in 2022. She became his executive assistant before her termination early this year.
Shock jock Howard Stern advises he is “not going to play this out in public…”

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, on Wednesday, April 29, Howard filed to dismiss the lawsuit. He called this a “shakedown” and a “transparent sham.” His lawyer, Ilene Farkas, told Page Six, the SiriusXM host is “not going to play this out in public. The Sterns are entitled to enforce non-disclosure agreements signed by employees who enter their home and their private life.”
Leslie claims that she didn’t sign two confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements and is asking that these be considered invalid. She says this will help her respond to “accusations made against her” and “protect her reputation and future employment prospects.”
On April 29, Howard provided previous emails as evidence that Leslie signed knowingly signed the agreements. He says both Leslie and her attorney are aware of this evidence.
Howard’s filing states, “The reason Kuhn filed this lawsuit was to pressure the Stern Parties into making an outlandish payment to make her go away. The sole reason Kuhn’s termination has become a matter of public record is because Kuhn and her counsel chose to publicize it by filing this lawsuit.”
The radio personality allegedly informed his ex-assistant in writing that he had no plans to discuss her firing and would provide neutral references to her future employers. “There was no smear campaign, no actual or threatened disclosure and no reputational attack. None,” according to the documents.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the story on Howard challenging the lawsuit.
