At approximately 8:36 p.m., an individual carrying a gun attempted to breach Secret Service security. This resulted in chaos and pandemonium, and of course, a lot of content on the internet.

Aziz Ansari ripped apart FBI director Kash Patel in a new SNL skit. Ansari made a surprise cameo on last week’s Saturday Night Live, portraying Patel in the latest episode’s cold open, in a press-conference-like setup. Ansari’s Patel addressed the WHCD shooting controversy that shocked the world.
Ansari entered the frame and immediately widened his eyes, just as Patel had done previously. The Parks and Rec alum remarked, “What’s up! What’s up! It’s K-dot, a.k.a. Kash with a K, a.k.a. the most effective FBI director this country has ever had: Kash Patel.”
Ansari continued, “Now, after the attempted assassination of President Trump — another one — we conducted an investigation that could not have been more thorough. You guys should not be reporting the lies and the gossip. You should be reporting on the historic nature of my appointment. I’m a trailblazer! I’m the first Indian person to suck at their job.”
Furthermore, Ansari stated, “Everyone says Indian people are smart, hardworking, incredibly intelligent. I prove without a shadow of a doubt that we can be just as incapable and incompetent as whites.”
After his brief speech, Ansari’s Patel took questions from reporters. When one reporter asked if he was worried about whether President Trump was angry with him, Ansari replied, “Hell, no! President Trump loves me. Everybody loves me. Even the Correspondents’ Dinner shooter said, ‘Kill everyone but Mr. Patel.’ When you get a shout-out like that in a psycho’s manifesto, you must be doing something right.”
The internet is loving Ansari’s brilliant mimicry of Patel. One fan commented, “Aziz Ansari had me cracking up the whole skit,” followed by laughing emojis. A second fan wrote, “That’s actually wild casting. Aziz Ansari as Kash Patel on SNL is a pretty unexpected but funny choice.”
