Anna Wintour, the artistic director and global chief content officer of Vogue and Condé Nast and the co-chair of the Met Gala 2026, reportedly invited Blake Lively to the annual star-studded fund-raising event. The “It Ends with Us” star allegedly graced the red carpet of the gala as a guest of Anna Wintour.
As reported by Us Weekly, a source confirmed the news to them. Thus, the insider went on to dismiss all the rumors about the 38-year-old paying to attend the event.
In the meantime, for this year’s Met Gala, Lively donned a stunning Atelier Versace gown featuring several delicate hues of pastel. The ensemble is an archival piece from 2006. The gown further showcased a chic halter neckline and a layered ball skirt. The actor accessorized her look by adding eye-catching jewelry pieces from Lorraine Schwartz.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Vogue, Lively said, “It’s an honor to attend with Donatella [Versace], one that I don’t take lightly.” The actor continued, “I haven’t been since giving birth to my fourth child.” She further expressed, “Every year I am a different version of myself than the last.”
Lively then explained, “so to be able to stand in the version of myself that I am today.” She continued, “and all the experiences I‘ve had — in strength and confidence is important to me.” The actor then said, “So is staying home on the couch with my kids in pajamas.” “Getting to do both is an honor I will never stop being grateful for,” she added.
