The Valley Season 3 is a few weeks in, and right now there’s some villains forming. One high-up on the list is Luke Broderick. As Kristen Doute’s fiancé and father of their newborn, fans were expecting to see his supportive and respectful side. Instead, viewers have been seeing him act the exact opposite. He’s been impatient with Kristen, and has been complaining about her postpartum attitude.
His on-screen behavior recently has reached an especially sour note. Recent scenes have shown him continuously pressing Kristen to have sex, just months after her delivery. People are upset, and now she is coming to his defense.

Kristen just spoke up and she is asking fans to give Luke “a chance”. After all, parenthood takes a toll on everyone, and being filmed makes it even harder to navigate.
“He was still going through a lot. So, I just want everyone to give him a little bit of a break. This butting heads mentality that we have will not last the whole entire season,” she told Decider.
The reality TV star also feels like the on-screen moments were all a big misunderstanding.
“I feel like watching it back, what I can hear Luke trying to say is that he wanted our relationship back, and I think it was a lot more about that than it was about actually having sex, but didn’t come across that way to me in those moments.”
There’s still quite a few more episodes of this season to air. Will Luke continue to get the villain edit, or will he be overpowered by Janet Caperna and her tendency to stir the pot? Only time will tell.
