There seems to be some bad luck when it comes to relationships on The Valley. In the first season, fans had a close look at the downfall of Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s marriage. Then, in Season 2 was the divorce of Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei.
Now that we are into the third season, all eyes are on if these relationships will stay intact. Right now it looks like the honeymoon phase is fading between Kristen Doute and her fiancé Luke Broderick. What’s causing a riff in their relationship? Luke says it’s all about her behavior.
Zack Wickham has some important advice for his friend
The sneak peak of Season 3, Episode 5, Luke is venting to Zack Wickham. In his relationship with Kristen, he doesn’t feel like he’s being treated right.
“There are times when I feel like I’m fighting for us and she’s fighting to show me that I’m wrong. I feel like anything I do is heavily scrutinized on a regular basis and the only time I bring up any criticism to Kristen is about how she talks to me,” he explains in the April 29 episode.
Ultimately, he thinks that her recent transition into motherhood is the cause of her behavior.
“Look, I’ve never had a kid before. I don’t know. I’ve never been with a woman through her pregnancy, birth, postpartum. This is all new to me. And I know that this is a version of Kristen that hopefully won’t last.”
Zack tells him that communication is their biggest issue, and offers to be a mediator. He believes this will help them get their points across without
dismissing each other. Only time will tell if Luke actually takes him up on his offer.
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
