Nicole Kidman Avoided Hugh Jackman & His GF at Met Gala — Source

Nicole Kidman reportedly kept her distance from fellow Australian actor Hugh Jackman and his girlfriend at the 2026 Met Gala. Kidman has been piecing her life back together after her divorce from Keith Urban and made a stunning appearance at the gala with her daughter, Sunday Rose. Notably, she was a co-chair at this year’s Met Gala alongside Beyoncé, Anna Wintour, and Venus Williams.

Nicole Kidman avoided Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster at Met Gala, sources suggest

A source has mentioned that Nicole Kidman intentionally avoided Hugh Jackman and his girlfriend, Sutton Foster, at the Met Gala following his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness last year. According to Rob Shuter, she did it out of loyalty and respect for Jackman’s ex-wife. The insider dished, “Nicole is firmly Team Deb. She believes Deb was deeply hurt by how everything unfolded, and Nicole isn’t interested in pretending otherwise just because Hugh showed up with a new woman on his arm.”

Jackman and Foster officially debuted as a couple at this year’s Met Gala, cementing their romance in the media. However, insiders insisted that plenty of people were whispering about the Wolverine star’s divorce at the gala. The source further stated, “Deb’s ‘betrayal’ comment was not forgotten in Hollywood. A lot of people close to her feel Hugh did her wrong, and Nicole is one of the friends who has stayed incredibly protective.”

But sources insist that the Babygirl star wasn’t rude or confrontational; she simply avoided any interaction with Jackman and Foster. “She didn’t want drama. But she also wasn’t going to play happy families for the cameras,” the source added.

Kidman modeled a custom red sequin-and-feather gown at the Met Gala. Her signature blonde hair was styled with bangs framing her forehead and cascading down her shoulders. The actress spoke to Vogue about her prep for the big day. The Oscar winner said, “Everything about this year’s Met Gala starts with the theme Anna and the museum selected. Once I had my first fitting with the incredible dress Matthieu and Chanel created for me, I knew that the skin and the beauty just had to center on the idea of radiance.”
