White House Slams ‘Sick’ Mark Hamill for Post Showing Donald Trump in Grave

The White House fired back at Star Wars icon Mark Hamill over a controversial social media post targeting President Donald Trump. The administration’s sharp response escalated a growing clash between Hollywood and the current political landscape.

White House slams Mark Hamill over Donald Trump post

The White House attacked Star Wars actor Mark Hamill after he posted an AI image on Bluesky. The image depicted President Donald Trump lying dead in an open grave. The headstone displayed the dates “1946-2024” alongside the caption “if only.”

The White House Rapid Response 47 account responded on X with a sharp rebuke. “Mark Hamill is one sick individual,” the post read. “These Radical Left lunatics just can’t help themselves. This kind of rhetoric is exactly what has inspired three assassination attempts in two years against our President.”

Hamill accompanied the image with a caption expanding on his intent behind the post. “If Only- He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes,” Hamill wrote. He added Trump should live “long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore.”

The White House linked the post to a broader pattern of left-wing rhetoric fueling political violence. The administration pointed to the April shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner as one example. Suspect Cole Tomas Allen sent family members an anti-Trump message before the shooting, according to federal officials.

Hamill later issued a clarification on Bluesky, walking back the tone of the original post. “Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate,” he wrote. He also reposted his original comments alongside a new photo of the president.

Accurate Edit for Clarity:"He should live long enough to… be held accountable for his… crimes." Actually, I was wishing him the opposite of dead, but apologize if you found the image inappropriate. ?-mh

The actor has long been a vocal critic of Trump and previously considered leaving the country after the 2024 election. His wife, Marilou, convinced him to stay in the United States.
