Donald Trump’s Mother’s Day Post Includes Himself & Not Melania

Donald Trump’s viral Mother’s Day post on Truth Social made no mention of his wife, Melania Trump. She is the mother of his son, Barron.

Donald Trump doesn’t name Melania in Mother’s Day Truth Social post

The president kicked off his holiday message by wishing a happy Mother’s Day weekend, but pivoted to touting job numbers. “Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all, especially to the 115 THOUSAND AMERICANS who found jobs in the month of April alone!,” Trump wrote, launching into a critique of economic forecasters. He added, “As usual, over 90 percent of Bloomberg Economists (nearly all of whom have a ‘Terminal’ case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME!) underestimated the strength of the Trump Economy.”

Trump then targeted Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and Democratic lawmakers. “Despite the best efforts of Jerome ‘Too Late and Won’t Leave’ Powell, and the America Hating Democrat Party, more Americans are working today than ever before. Happy Mother’s Day and, know that, we are MAKING AMERICA WEALTHY AND SAFE AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he wrote.

Conspicuously absent from the Truth Social post was any reference to Melania Trump. The omission did not go unnoticed on social media, where people noted the post’s unusual nature. One X user questioned, “Don´t most men mention their wives on Mother´s Day if they have a child together?” Another quipped, “His post has nothing to do with motherhood.”

A critic characterized the structure of the message, saying Trump “Opened with a ‘Mother’ reference and closed with a ‘Mother Reference’. In between he sang a solo: ‘Me me me.’” Some also challenged the economic claims in the Mother’s Day message, with one commenter on X asking, “Has he forgotten the 200,000 Americans who filed for unemployment benefits last week?”

The Mother’s Day post came as part of a broader flurry of critical activity on the platform by Donald Trump.
