Less than six months into 2026, Summer House star Kyle Cooke is already talking about how it’s affected him. In January, Kyle and Amanda Batula announced their separation after four years of marriage. But just two months later she and West Wilson went public with their romantic relationship.
On May 11, Jason Tartick asked Kyle how he was doing on his Trading Secrets podcast. “It’s been a roller-coaster,” Kyle admitted. “April has been one of those months where it hasn’t been easy … [I’m] ready to turn this page.”
“If you were to ask me if I saw any of this coming, absolutely not,” he added. “Such is life. You know, you just kind of have to learn from everything and move on.”
The Bravo star said 2026 has been a “roller-coaster” so far
On March 31, news broke that Amanda and West had become more than just friends. In addition to Kyle, the announcement came as a shock to West’s ex-girlfriend and Amanda’s BFF Ciara Miller.
Now fans are looking forward to the Summer House Season 10 reunion. Though Kyle and Amanda didn’t split until after the show finished filming in the summer of 2025, the reunion will definitely address the current situation. Additionally, an audio recording from the reunion was leaked the day after filming. After Bravo launched an investigation, a production staffer was found to be responsible for the leak and was immediately fired.
But while fans weighed in about the audio leak, some felt West didn’t sufficiently defend Amanda from their co-stars. “West did not have Amanda’s back,” Kyle said.
At the time, Bravo blogger Bravoandcocktails wrote via Threads, “West explicitly asked that any criticism or ‘heat’ be directed at him rather than Amanda on his [Show Me Something] podcast.”
“[West’s] all PR and zero intention or integrity,” Kyle said of his former friend. “The reunion was a brutal beat down and I can’t recall a moment when he had Amanda’s back.”
